Carl Jackson - Auctioneer
Carl is owner of Jackson Auctioneering. He’s been an auctioneer in the mid-west since 1994. During his time as an auctioneer, Carl has served as President of the Iowa Auctioneers Association (2009), Chairman of the Board of the Iowa Auctioneers Association (2010) and in 2015, he was an inductee into the Hall of Fame of the Iowa Auctioneers Association.
In addition to his work as an auction, Carl also works in real-estate for counties in southern Iowa. Carl and his lovely wife, Becky, reside here in Johnston. They’re blessed with a large family and big hearts. We’re very lucky to have him here with us this evening!

Matt Stahr - Emcee
Matt Stahr and his wife Chris have been residents of the Johnston School District for 15 years. Their three children Tyler, Rebecca and Ethan are JHS Graduates. Matt has enjoyed many opportunities within the district over the years. He has served on the Board of Education and several committees related to that work. He was a JUMP mentor for 9 years. He and his wife Chris also co-chaired the Showzam Show Choir competition for 8 years. Most recently he enjoyed being a judge at the Academic Decathlon held at JHS.
We are excited to have Matt back as a part of the DSF auction this year as our Emcee!

Maraya Nicole
Maraya is a sophomore at JHS who plays guitar and has written dozens of original songs. She has one EP, Anthem for Life, and three singles available on streaming services. She is currently in JHS’s Cantemus choir, a member of Unaccompanied Minors, and plays electric guitar for JHS’s Synergy and Innovation show choirs. We are so lucky to have Maraya playing for us throughout our event tonight. Please show your appreciation by checking out her work here.

Unaccompanied Minors
Unaccompanied minors is a student led acapella group from Johnston High School. This group is led by Noah Hartman and Valery Figueroa. They enjoy numerous kinds of performances, from caroling and Christmas tree lighting ceremonies to choir concerts.
